A tragic incident has emerged from Bishnupur district in Manipur, where a 37-year-old soldier from the 2 Mahar Regiment of the Indian Army took his own life on Friday afternoon. The deceased, who hailed from the Jalgaon district in Maharashtra, had been stationed at the Loukpipat post prior to the incident. Reports indicate that he shot himself with his service weapon shortly after returning from the Leimakhong Army headquarters located in Imphal.
