New Delhi, November 3, 2026: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) organised a specialised one-day airport security training programme for Border Security Force (BSF) officers and personnel at the Airport Security Training Institute (ASTI), CISF Unit ASG Delhi. The initiative aimed to enhance the participants’ understanding of airport security procedures, advanced screening technologies and operational practices.
The training programme focused on key aspects of aviation security, particularly Access Control Management and the effective operation of security screening equipment. BSF personnel received training in the use of X-ray Baggage Inspection Systems (X-BIS), Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD), Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMD) and Explosive Trace Detectors (ETD).
Conducted by experienced ASTI instructors, the programme included classroom lectures, equipment familiarisation sessions and hands-on practical demonstrations. The training provided participants with an opportunity to understand the functioning of modern airport security systems and gain practical exposure to screening and access control procedures.

The initiative highlighted the CISF’s commitment to strengthening professional capabilities, promoting knowledge sharing and enhancing coordination among India’s Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Through such specialised training programmes, the CISF continues to contribute to inter-force cooperation and capacity building, helping security personnel develop the technical knowledge and operational skills required to address evolving security challenges.
