Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Western Air Command, conducted an operational visit to three forward air bases in the Western Sector on 14 and 15 February 2025. The visit was aimed at assessing operational preparedness, strengthening combat readiness, and interacting with air warriors deployed at these strategically crucial bases.
Review of Operational Readiness

- Flew a mission on the Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) system, emphasizing the importance of real-time battlefield surveillance, electronic warfare capabilities, and force multiplier assets in modern warfare.
- Conducted a night-flying mission using Night Vision Goggles (NVG) on a Mi-17V5 helicopter, reinforcing the significance of nocturnal operations and enhancing tactical mobility in low-light conditions.
