In a grand ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Honโble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh conferred prestigious Gallantry, Distinguished, and Meritorious Service medals to Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel in recognition of their valor, dedication, and exceptional service in safeguarding Indiaโs maritime frontiers.
A total of 32 awards were presented, including:
- 06 Presidentโs Tatrakshak Medals for gallantry and distinguished service
- 26 Tatrakshak Medals for meritorious service
The event was a tribute to the relentless commitment of the Indian Coast Guard, honoring their courage in maritime security operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster response efforts.
Among the awardees, three stalwarts from the Indian Coast Guardโs Region (North-East) were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the elite force. Their unwavering professionalism and operational excellence have significantly enhanced Indiaโs coastal security and maritime domain awareness.
