Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi Visits Andaman and Nicobar Command

Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), accompanied by Mrs. Shashi Tripathi, President of the Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA), conducted an official visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) from March 1 to 4, 2025. The visit encompassed engagements at various naval establishments, underscoring the strategic significance of the region and the welfare of naval personnel stationed there.​

The itinerary commenced with a visit to Air Force Station Carnic, where Admiral Tripathi paid homage at the Tsunami Memorial, honoring the lives lost during the 2004 disaster. He interacted with station personnel, acknowledging their dedication and the station’s enhanced role within the ANC’s operational framework. ​

Subsequently, the CNS visited INS Kardip, engaging with naval personnel to assess operational readiness and morale. He inaugurated the Other Than Married (OTM) accommodation facility named ‘Kailash,’ aimed at improving living conditions for in-living personnel. Concurrently, Mrs. Shashi Tripathi inaugurated the renovated Naval Public School (NPS) Kardip, reflecting the Navy’s commitment to educational excellence for the families of service members. ​

The visit concluded with an inspection of INS Baaz, the southernmost air station of the Indian Armed Forces. Admiral Tripathi interacted with the personnel, emphasizing the strategic importance of their duties. He inaugurated ‘Baazeecha,’ a newly constructed OTM accommodation facility, enhancing the quality of life at this remote station. ​
