A 14-member delegation of officers from the INS, Shivaji, visited the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad on 26โ27 September 2025 as part of the Annual Training Visit Calendar. The visit aimed to enhance inter-service synergy and provide naval officers with a deeper understanding of the Indian Armyโs technical training ecosystem.
During their visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive overview of MCEMEโs crucial role in delivering advanced technical training to officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and technicians of the Corps of EME.
They were briefed on state-of-the-art training methodologies, cutting-edge laboratories, and simulation-based learning systems that equip personnel with the expertise to sustain and maintain advanced defence technologies.
The officers also explored MCEMEโs ongoing indigenisation initiatives and modern infrastructure supporting the innovation and maintenance of weapon systems, aviation platforms, electronic warfare assets, and next-generation communication technologies all critical to ensuring operational readiness and battlefield superiority.
The visit underscored the spirit of jointness and integration between the Indian Army and Indian Navy, fostering cross-service learning and strengthening institutional ties.
Such engagements are pivotal in building a unified approach to addressing the complex technological and operational challenges of future warfare, reinforcing Indiaโs preparedness for multidomain operations.
