In a stirring tribute to the spirit of high-altitude soldiering, the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre, Lansdowne, has flagged off an expedition to Mount Mukut East (7,045 metres) in the Garhwal Himalayas.
The challenging mission is a blend of adventure, endurance, and discipline, reflecting the regimentโs deep-rooted ethos of courage and resilience. The expedition team, comprising the Surya Warriors, will attempt to scale one of the most formidable peaks in the region, showcasing not just physical strength but also an indomitable spirit of national pride.
The endeavour underscores the Indian Armyโs tradition of promoting adventure sports and mountaineering as a means to enhance physical fitness, leadership, and camaraderie among its ranks.
As the climbers push through snow-clad ridges and icy winds, their journey is set to inspire many, turning heights into history and snow into saga, while epitomising the motto of scaling dreams one peak at a time.
