The Indian Navy will commission INS Aravali at Gurugram on September 12, 2025, in the presence of Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff.
Named after the steadfast Aravali mountain range, INS Aravali will play a pivotal role in supporting the Navyโs information and communication centres, which are central to Indiaโs Command, Control, and Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) framework.
Guided by the motto โเคธเคพเคฎเฅเคฆเฅเคฐเคฟเคเคธเฅเคฐเคเฅเคทเคพเคฏเคพเค เคธเคนเคฏเฅเคเคโ or โMaritime Security through Collaborationโ, the base reflects a collaborative ethos, working seamlessly with naval units, MDA centres, and allied stakeholders to strengthen Indiaโs maritime security.
The crest of INS Aravali features mountain imagery symbolising the enduring strength of the Aravali range, along with a rising sun that represents vigilance, resilience, energy, and the dawn of new technological capabilities in communications and MDA.
According to officials, the establishment of INS Aravali marks a significant step in enhancing Indiaโs maritime preparedness and safeguarding national interests in an increasingly complex security environment.
