Lieutenant General AVS Rathee, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Konark Corps, carried out a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of the Bald Eagle Brigade during his visit to the strategically sensitive Rann and Creek sector.
The visit underscored the Indian Armyโs continuous focus on enhancing readiness in this challenging terrain, which is marked by marshlands, tidal flats, and creeks along the IndiaโPakistan border. These areas pose unique operational challenges, requiring high levels of adaptability, mobility, and synergy among security forces.
As part of his visit, the Army Commander observed a large-scale multi-agency exercise that showcased seamless interoperability between the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Border Security Force (BSF), and Indian Coast Guard. The exercise included simulated responses to varied operational scenarios of modern warfare, ranging from cross-border infiltration and maritime security threats to integrated coastal defence operations.
By integrating the capabilities of multiple security agencies, the exercise reinforced the importance of jointmanship, information sharing, and coordinated action in tackling emerging threats. It highlighted the ability of Indian forces to conduct swift and decisive operations in the Rann and Creek sector, a region that has often witnessed hostile activities and incursions in the past.
During his interaction with troops, Lt Gen Rathee lauded their professionalism, operational readiness, and commitment to national security. He exhorted all ranks to remain vigilant and maintain the highest standards of preparedness in light of the evolving security dynamics in the region.
The review comes at a time when India continues to strengthen its border and coastal security architecture, ensuring that every challenge in sensitive frontiers is met with resilience and synergy among all stakeholders.
