As per the revised notification, the vacancies for men and women have been combined, bringing the total to 10 seats for the SSC (JAG) Entry 123 Course.
Earlier, the Army had announced five vacancies each for men and women. However, under the new corrigendum, it has clarified that the combined vacancies will now cater to both genders together, rather than being split separately.
The corrigendum further notes that the Indian Army notifies combined vacancies for men and women based on operational and administrative requirements in line with present and future force needs.
It also clarifies that the process of application, SSB shortlisting (cut-off), selection, and merit remains purely based on the notified combined vacancies and driven by applications received for the respective course.
This update ensures greater flexibility in recruitment planning while maintaining transparency and fairness in the selection process.
