The trainees of the 77th Regular Recruit (RR) batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) visited the Shaurya Officers’ Institute of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today as part of their structured exposure to the nation’s premier internal security force.
During the visit, the probationers received an in-depth orientation on the operational role, structure, and modernization initiatives of the CRPF. The presentations covered the force’s extensive deployment across diverse operational theatres — from counter-insurgency zones to Left Wing Extremism-affected regions — and its vital contribution to maintaining internal peace and stability.

DG CRPF’s Address on Leadership and Integrity
The highlight of the session was an inspiring address by Shri GP Singh, Director General, CRPF, who shared valuable insights on the contemporary internal security challenges faced by the nation. He urged the young officers to uphold the core values of integrity, fitness, professional knowledge, and discipline, which form the foundation of effective policing and leadership.
Building Synergy Between IPS and CRPF
The visit aimed to foster greater understanding and synergy between the IPS and CRPF, helping probationers appreciate the operational realities of India’s largest paramilitary force. The interactive engagement also emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in tackling dynamic threats and ensuring the safety of citizens across the country.
