Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni has officially assumed the appointment of Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME.
In a solemn ceremony at the National War Memorial, New Delhi, he laid a wreath to honour the supreme sacrifice of the Bravehearts who laid down their lives in service of the nation.
On taking charge, Lt Gen Sahni called upon the Corps to lead robust, outcome-driven innovations and technological advancements that would enhance the operational preparedness of the Indian Army. He underscored the pivotal role of the Corps of EME in driving technological enablement across the force.
The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, often described as the Armyโs technological backbone, is responsible for ensuring battle readiness through equipment maintenance, innovation, and integration of cutting-edge technologies into military operations.
