Lt Gen Rajiv Kumar Sahni, AVSM, VSM, PhD, Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DGEME) and Colonel Commandant, visited Kharga Corps to assess the EMEโs operational preparedness, technological advancements, and ongoing sustenance initiatives.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sahni was briefed on the Corpsโ efforts to enhance equipment reliability, streamline maintenance procedures, and integrate cutting-edge technology into field operations. He interacted with EME personnel and appreciated their professionalism and commitment to mission readiness.

A major highlight of the visit was the inspection of the Kharga Corps Drone Hub, where indigenous drone development and fabrication projects are underway. The DGEME lauded the innovative approach adopted by the team in advancing drone technology tailored for tactical and logistical support. He commended the efforts toward indigenisation, innovation, and self-reliance under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
