The closing ceremony of Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025, the bilateral military exercise between the Indian Army and the Australian Army, was held in Perth, Australia. The event marked the successful completion of this edition of the exercise, which aimed to enhance interoperability, joint operational skills, and defence cooperation between the two nations.

The ceremony was graced by Major General Matt Burr, AM, Commander of the 2nd Australian Division, along with senior officers and dignitaries from both armed forces. Members of the Indian diaspora in Australia also attended the event, adding a touch of cultural camaraderie and shared pride to the proceedings.

Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025 served as a platform for both contingents to exchange tactical knowledge, strengthen field coordination, and refine counter-insurgency and peacekeeping strategies. The joint training fostered deeper mutual understanding, trust, and cooperation between the armies.
The successful culmination of the exercise symbolises the growing strategic partnership and enduring friendship between India and Australia—anchored in shared values of peace, security, and regional stability.
