On the momentous occasion of the Centenary Celebrations of the Military College of Materials Management (MCMM), Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC), Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, visited the institution and paid tribute to its 100 years of pioneering service in shaping Indiaโs logistics doctrine and capabilities.
In his address, Air Marshal Dixit emphasised that logistics is no longer a rear-area function but has evolved into the very spine of operational art in modern, multi-domain warfare.
Drawing on key lessons from Operation Sindoor, he highlighted the critical importance of integrated logistics and tri-service orchestration in ensuring strategic success on the battlefield.
During his visit, the Chief was briefed by the faculty on the collegeโs innovative initiatives in training, digitisation, and technological transformation, which have strengthened its position as a premier centre of excellence for defence logistics.
He also reviewed the institutionโs enduring contributions to building a robust logistics ecosystem capable of supporting Indiaโs evolving military requirements.
To commemorate the historic milestone, Air Marshal Dixit released a First Day Cover marking the centenary and commended the unwavering dedication of the faculty and staff.
He lauded MCMMโs instrumental role in driving logistics transformation in line with global best practices and national aspirations, ensuring that the Indian Armed Forces remain agile, resilient, and future-ready in an era of rapid strategic change.
