Rear Admiral Manoj Jha, VSM, has assumed charge as the Chief Staff Officer (Operations) of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) today, marking another distinguished milestone in his illustrious naval career.
Commissioned into the Indian Navy on 1 January 1995, Rear Admiral Manoj Jha is an alumnus of the Naval Academy, Goa, the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, the Naval War College, Goa, and the prestigious Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS), United Kingdom.
A Gunnery Specialist by profession, the Flag Officer has commanded several frontline warships, including the destroyer INS Chennai, the first Anti-Submarine Warfare Corvette INS Kamorta as her commissioning Commanding Officer, and served as Executive Officer onboard the aircraft carrier INS Viraat.
Prior to assuming his present appointment, Rear Admiral Jha served as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Communications, Space and Network-Centric Operations) and Commodore (Personnel) at Naval Headquarters, where he played key roles in shaping operational and personnel policies.
