The Young Officers’ Course for newly commissioned officers of the Army Air Defence (AAD) commenced at the Army Air Defence College (AADC), Gopalpur, on 22 October 2025. The course also includes officers from friendly foreign nations—Cameroon, Malawi, and Namibia—reflecting the spirit of military cooperation and knowledge exchange between India and its partner countries.
The six-month-long course aims to transform these dynamic young officers into proficient air defence warriors equipped to tackle modern aerial threats. Through rigorous training, academic sessions, simulations, and live exercises, the Young Officers will gain a comprehensive understanding of air defence systems, radar technologies, missile operations, and command procedures.
Under the mentorship of experienced instructors at AADC Gopalpur, the officers will be groomed in leadership, tactical acumen, and operational excellence, preparing them to defend the nation’s skies with precision and professionalism. The course marks the beginning of their journey towards becoming capable and confident leaders in the domain of Air Defence Operations.
