Black Charger Eagles Demonstrate Exceptional Technical Skill With 24-Hour Continuous Engine Change Exercise

The challenging drill showcased the unit’s combat force regeneration capability and technical mastery under harsh desert conditions. In an impressive display of professionalism, technical expertise, and unwavering determination, the “Black Charger Eagles” successfully conducted a 24-hour continuous engine-changing exercise, replacing the engines of a T-90 tank, a T-72 tank, and a BMP infantry combat vehicle overnight. The rare and highly demanding drill underscored the unit’s capability to maintain and regenerate combat power even under time-sensitive and challenging operational circumstances.

The exercise was attended by Lt Gen H S Vandra, Chief of Staff, Sapta Shakti Command, who witnessed the troops in action and lauded their exceptional skill, dedication, and domain specialisation. He praised the team for upholding the highest standards of technical proficiency and for demonstrating the robustness of the Army’s maintenance and repair ecosystem.

Conducted amid the harsh desert terrain and extreme temperature variations, the 24-hour drill tested the endurance, coordination, and precision of the technical crews. Despite adverse conditions, the team validated its Combat Force Regeneration capability—an essential operational requirement to ensure frontline units remain mission-ready at all times.
