The Combat Leadership Course for Junior Leaders commenced at the Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) Academy, Dhana, on November 10, 2025. The course brings together NCOs from Combat and Combat Support Arms of the Indian Army for an intensive six-week training programme aimed at developing their leadership and operational effectiveness.

Designed in the backdrop of a rapidly evolving battlefield and disruptive technological advancements in warfare, the course focuses on enhancing cognitive and technical proficiency, along with decision-making and problem-solving abilities — core qualities essential for modern military leadership.
The initiative aims to empower NCOs with the confidence, tactical acumen, and adaptive mindset required to lead in complex combat scenarios.

The training aligns with the Academy’s guiding motto, “युद्ध नेतृत्व कौशल वहाम्यहम्” — meaning “We embody the skill of combat leadership.”
Through this comprehensive module, the Indian Army continues its focus on grooming capable and tech-savvy junior leaders ready to meet emerging operational challenges with professionalism and resolve.
