Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), visited the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre & College (RVCC&C) in Meerut to review ongoing training and infrastructure developments.
During the visit, the Army Commander inspected the state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to Military Working Dogs (MWDs), Equestrian Training, and Veterinary Education. He was briefed on the latest advancements in canine handling, equine management, and veterinary science training that contribute to the Indian Army’s operational readiness.
Lt Gen Sharma appreciated the modern infrastructure, scientific training methodologies, and the high motivation of instructional staff at the Centre. He commended the institution for its crucial role in preparing MWDs and equestrian assets that support field formations in diverse operational conditions.
The General Officer also interacted with trainees from Friendly Foreign Countries, highlighting the growing international cooperation and India’s leadership in military veterinary and animal training disciplines.
The visit underscored ARTRAC’s continued focus on enhancing training standards, technological integration, and global partnerships across Army institutions.
