Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi has assumed charge as the Commandant of the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, succeeding Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh.

An alumnus of the Indian Naval Academy, Vice Admiral Jaggi is a Navigation and Direction specialist with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. He has commanded the missile vessel INS Veer and the stealth frigate INS Sahyadri, showcasing exceptional leadership at sea.
Throughout his distinguished service, the Flag Officer has held several key Command, Staff, and Diplomatic appointments, including Naval Advisor at the High Commission of India in London, Commodore (Foreign Cooperation) at Naval Headquarters, Flag Officer Gujarat Naval Area (FOGNA), and Flag Officer Maharashtra Area (FOMA).

Under his leadership, the NDA is expected to continue its legacy of excellence in grooming future military leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.
