On the eve of the New Year, Air Marshal B Manikantan, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Central Air Command, visited forward operational areas under the Central Air Command Area of Responsibility (AOR) to review operational preparedness and assess infrastructure development initiatives aimed at troop welfare.
During the visit, the Air Marshal was briefed on the operational posture, readiness levels, and ongoing infrastructure upgrades at forward bases. He reviewed facilities developed to enhance living conditions and operational efficiency for personnel deployed in demanding environments.

Interacting closely with air warriors stationed at the forward locations, Air Marshal Manikantan commended them for their unwavering commitment, professionalism, and high standards of operational excellence. He lauded their dedication to mission readiness despite challenging conditions and conveyed his appreciation for their vital contribution to national air defence.
The Air Marshal also celebrated the New Year with the troops, sharing moments of camaraderie and motivation. He was accompanied by Dr Nirmala T Manikantan, President, Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA โ Central Region), who interacted with personnel and emphasised the importance of family support and morale in sustaining operational effectiveness.

Both extended New Year greetings to all Indian Air Force personnel and their families, wishing them good health, happiness, and continued success in the year ahead.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Air Forceโs focus on leadership engagement, operational preparedness, and welfare-oriented infrastructure development, while reinforcing the strong bond between commanders and personnel serving at the nationโs frontiers.
