Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) Western Air Command, visited Headquarters Southern Air Command, where he held detailed operational discussions with Air Marshal Manish Khanna, AOC-in-C Southern Air Command.
During the interaction, the two Commanders examined key operational lessons from Operation Sindoor, focusing on the decisive employment of air power, enhanced inter-command coordination, and the pivotal role played by Southern Air Command in maintaining maritime vigilance and multi-domain situational awareness throughout the operation.
The visit also included a comprehensive review of joint operational preparedness and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) readiness. Both Commanders reaffirmed the importance of seamless integration among Commands to effectively address evolving security challenges and strengthen India’s overall operational posture.
