Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, Vice Chief of the Air Staff (VCAS), paid a farewell visit to No. 1 Squadron, the “Tigers,” from 1–2 December 2025 in his capacity as the Commodore Commandant of the Squadron.
During the visit, the Air Marshal was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour, reflecting the Squadron’s respect and admiration for his distinguished service. He reviewed the operational readiness of the unit, interacted closely with Squadron personnel, and undertook a sortie in the Mirage 2000 aircraft, reaffirming his deep engagement with frontline operations.
The visit highlighted Air Marshal Tiwari’s enduring association with No. 1 Squadron and his commitment to mentoring personnel, ensuring operational excellence, and upholding the Squadron’s legacy of professionalism and combat readiness.
