The Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, will host its prestigious Passing Out Parade (POP) on 13 December 2025, marking the completion of rigorous military training for Indian and foreign officer cadets. Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi will be the chief guest for the ceremony and will review the parade.

The Passing Out Parade at IMA is a moment of immense pride, symbolising the transformation of cadets into commissioned officers. For both Indian and international cadets, the parade represents not only the culmination of their training but also the beginning of their service as young leaders in their respective armies.

Established on 1 October 1932, the Indian Military Academy began its journey with its first batch of just 40 cadets. Over the past nine decades, the academy has significantly expanded its training capacity—from 40 cadets to 1,660 at present—reflecting its evolution into one of the world’s premier military institutions.

So far, the academy has trained nearly 66,000 cadets, including around 3,000 from friendly foreign nations. IMA alumni have excelled across various fields, upholding the highest standards of military leadership and contributing greatly to the honour and reputation of the Indian Army.

The upcoming parade is expected to draw attention from across the nation, celebrating the discipline, dedication, and commitment of the next generation of military officers.
