Director General National Cadet Corps (DG NCC), Lt Gen Virendra Vats, YSM, VSM, SM, visited the Maharashtra Directorate on 10โ11 December 2025, where he was accorded a Tri-Services Guard of Honour and lauded cadets for their exceptional turnout, discipline, and drill standards.

During the visit, the DG reviewed major initiatives underway at the Directorate, including the expansion of NCC units, increased intake of girl cadets, ongoing infrastructure upgrades, integration of drone training into cadet curriculum, and the proposal for establishing a Remount & Veterinary Corps (RVC) Regional Pre-Training Organization (RPTO) at Nagpur.

Lt Gen Vats also appreciated the Directorateโs notable achievements and witnessed an impressive cultural performance by cadets, showcasing the diverse talent and ethos of NCC. He interacted with cadets and motivated them to continue striving for excellence with discipline, dedication, and a spirit of national service.

The DG called on Lt Gen D. S. Kushwah, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, HQ MG & G Area, where both leaders held discussions to further strengthen synergy between the Army and NCC. The interaction reaffirmed the shared commitment to empowering youth and shaping their contribution toward Viksit Bharat @2047.
