Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited Kishtwar to review the counter-terrorism grid and assess the multi-agency security posture in the region.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma held an extensive interaction with senior representatives from the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and Army formations deployed in the area. The discussions focused on the evolving security landscape, operational coordination, and measures to strengthen intelligence-driven counter-terrorist operations.
Emphasising the complexity of the current security environment, the Army Commander underscored that countering emerging threats requires unified command structures, seamless intelligence sharing, and a synergised response across all agencies. He stressed the need for integrated planning, real-time flow of critical information, and a joint approach to ensure Jammu & Kashmir remains terror-free.
