Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, AVSM, VSM, PhD, Director General of the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME) and Colonel Commandant, visited the Spear Corps to interact with troops and assess operational and technical readiness.
During his visit, Lt Gen Sahni lauded the soldiers for their professionalism, technical expertise, and mission-oriented maintenance support, emphasizing the crucial role of EME units in ensuring operational efficiency at forward deployments.
He also reviewed the indigenous drone development and fabrication at the Corps’ Drone Excellence Centre, commending the team for fostering self-reliance through innovation and indigenisation of defence technology. The initiative aligns with the broader Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, enhancing India’s operational capabilities in modern battlefield technology.
