Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Eastern Naval Command, visited the Submarine Rescue Unit (East), where he reviewed the unitโs operational readiness, recent deployments, and upcoming commitments in the critical domain of submarine rescue operations.

During the visit, the Commander-in-Chief was briefed on the Dedicated Submarine Rescue Vessel (DSRV) system complex, base infrastructure, and the unitโs expanding capabilities to respond swiftly to submarine emergencies. He interacted with officers and sailors, gaining insights into operational procedures and preparedness.

Vice Admiral Bhalla commended the crew for their professionalism and operational excellence, particularly appreciating their approach during Exercise XPR-25. He conveyed his confidence in the unitโs capabilities and wished the personnel success in their future deployments, reaffirming the Indian Navyโs commitment to maintaining robust and responsive submarine rescue capabilities.
