The Leadership & Management Course conducted at the Junior Leaders Academy (JLA), Bareilly, concluded on January 29, 2026, with Havildar Indresh Singh of Army Air Defence being adjudged the Overall Best Student.
The course was attended by Junior Leaders from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and the Assam Rifles, reflecting a strong emphasis on inter-service cooperation and joint leadership development.
Addressing the participants, Brigadier Gaurav Kapoor, Commandant, JLA, underscored the pivotal role of Junior Leaders in upholding the ethos, discipline and professional standards of the Indian Army. He emphasised that Junior Leaders must lead from the front and set the highest benchmarks in training and conduct to ensure a future-ready force.
The course focused on leadership, decision-making and management skills required in contemporary operational environments, reaffirming JLA Bareilly’s role in shaping confident, capable and value-driven leaders for India’s armed forces.
