Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, chaired a comprehensive joint Security Review Meeting at Nagrota to assess the evolving security dynamics in the region.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders from various security agencies, with detailed deliberations on ensuring seamless operational synergy, enhancing joint combat readiness, and further strengthening the counter-terrorism grid.
Senior commanders reviewed existing security mechanisms and discussed modalities to maintain heightened alertness, emphasising optimal utilisation of all available resources across the region. The focus remained on proactive measures, intelligence-led operations and coordinated responses to emerging threats.
Lt Gen Sharma underscored the importance of close inter-agency coordination and sustained vigilance to maintain peace and security, reaffirming Northern Command’s commitment to robust joint operations and effective counter-terror preparedness.
