Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, AVSM, NM, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS), visited the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow on January 21, 2026.
During the visit, Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi, VSM, Commandant MCTE, briefed the VCNS on a range of initiatives undertaken by the institution to synergise with academia, start-ups, and government agencies. The briefing highlighted MCTE’s efforts to foster innovation, strengthen research linkages, and accelerate the development of next-generation communication and electronic warfare capabilities.
Vice Admiral Vatsayan appreciated MCTE’s significant contributions to advancing indigenous defence technologies, noting the institution’s pivotal role in building technical self-reliance and supporting the Armed Forces’ modernization objectives.
The visit underscored the importance of inter-service engagement and collaboration in nurturing cutting-edge defence capabilities aligned with India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat in the defence sector.
