Exercise Kharga Shakti 2026 concluded successfully after an intensive, operationally oriented training cycle that rigorously validated the combat readiness of Kharga Corps across the full spectrum of modern battlefield scenarios.

The exercise demonstrated seamless integration of high mobility manoeuvres, precision firepower, UAS-enabled intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), counter-UAS measures, layered air defence systems, and joint air–land operations conducted in close coordination with the Indian Air Force. The training reaffirmed the Corps’ capability to transition swiftly from deterrence postures to decisive combat action.

Observing the culmination, Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, Army Commander, Western Command, commended the participating formations for their professionalism, effective technology infusion and clarity of operational execution. He emphasised that the exercise reflected Western Command’s unwavering preparedness to meet emerging security challenges and ensure assured victory.

Exercise Kharga Shakti 2026 highlighted the Indian Army’s continued focus on jointness, technological adoption and battle-ready forces capable of dominating the contemporary and future battlefield.
