Lieutenant General HS Vandra, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Madhya Bharat Area, visited the 39 Gorkha Training Centre and Varanasi Military Station to undertake a comprehensive review of administrative efficiency, infrastructure development and welfare initiatives.

During the visit, the Army Commander inspected key facilities including the ECHS Polyclinic, Military Hospital, Army Public School and the Sanitation Park, gaining first-hand insight into healthcare delivery, educational standards and hygiene-related initiatives for troops and their families.

Lt Gen Vandra also interacted extensively with Ex-Servicemen, patiently listening to their concerns and welfare requirements, and reaffirmed the enduring commitment of the Indian Army towards the well-being and dignity of its veteran fraternity.

Commending the station authorities, the GOC appreciated their dedicated efforts in ensuring efficient administration and quality support services. He lauded the progressive initiatives undertaken for serving personnel, families and veterans, and assured continued guidance, resources and full support from Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area to further strengthen institutional effectiveness and welfare outreach.
