Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, conducted a comprehensive review of the security framework and operational preparedness of forces deployed across North and South Kashmir.

During the review, the Army Commander was briefed in detail on the integrated intelligence grid, updated operational protocols and enhanced joint response mechanisms that underpin counter-terrorism and security operations in the region. Emphasis was laid on seamless coordination among all stakeholders to sustain a high state of readiness in a complex and dynamic security environment.

Lt Gen Sharma assessed the effectiveness of ongoing measures aimed at strengthening situational awareness, rapid decision-making and coordinated action on the ground. The review focused on maintaining operational dominance through proactive planning, intelligence-led operations and inter-agency synergy.

Commending the troops, the Army Commander lauded their outstanding professionalism, steadfast determination and unwavering dedication to operational excellence. He expressed confidence in the force’s ability to continue safeguarding peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir through vigilance, preparedness and mission-focused execution.
