The Hon’ble Defence Minister of Greece, Nikolaos Dendias, visited Bengaluru Military Station on 08 February 2026, marking a significant engagement in strengthening defence-to-defence interactions between India and Greece.

During the visit, the Greek Defence Minister witnessed the Indian Army’s operational and technical capabilities at the 515 Army Base Workshop, where a wide range of indigenous drone systems, simulators and advanced technologies were showcased. The visit also featured equipment displays by elite Special Forces and Combat Engineers, highlighting the Army’s versatility across diverse operational domains.

Mr Dendias commended the professionalism, innovation and high state of preparedness demonstrated by the Indian Army. He particularly appreciated the emphasis on indigenisation, technological modernisation and self-reliance, reflecting India’s ongoing transformation towards a future-ready force.

The visit underscored growing defence cooperation and mutual appreciation between the two nations, reinforcing shared interests in capability development, innovation and regional security.
