General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), witnessed an Integrated Air Defence Firepower exercise at the Army Air Defence College, showcasing the Indian Army’s growing capability to counter modern aerial threats.
The exercise demonstrated seamless synergy among multiple air defence weapon systems operating in a networked environment. It effectively validated the entire detection-to-engagement cycle against new-age hybrid aerial threats, including drones and other advanced airborne platforms.
The integrated drills highlighted the Army’s focus on building a responsive and layered air defence grid capable of real-time threat detection, tracking, and neutralisation.
Commending the performance, Gen Dwivedi praised the Air Defence personnel for their professionalism and relentless commitment to strengthening India’s defence preparedness.
He also exhorted the troops to continue striving for excellence, adapt to evolving battlefield dynamics, and maintain operational dominance in the increasingly complex battlespace.
