A high-intensity joint counter-terrorism mock exercise was successfully conducted at Indira Gandhi International Airport to evaluate preparedness and enhance coordination among multiple security and emergency response agencies.

The exercise witnessed the participation of key stakeholders, including the Central Industrial Security Force (QRT, BDDS, Dog Squad), Delhi Police, National Security Guard (NSG), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Delhi Fire Service, along with Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) teams of Delhi International Airport Limited and medical services.

The drill simulated a complex terror scenario to test real-time response capabilities, inter-agency communication, and crisis management strategies. Personnel demonstrated seamless coordination, swift tactical response, and effective handling of emergency situations.

Officials stated that such exercises are crucial in addressing evolving security threats and ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety. Authorities reiterated their commitment to maintaining a secure airport environment through constant vigilance, periodic drills, and coordinated action among all agencies involved.
