Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) troops deployed along the frozen expanse of Pangong Lake at an altitude of 14,300 feet celebrated Holi with residents of nearby Vibrant Villages, bringing colour and warmth to the remote high-altitude region.

Personnel of the North West Frontier of ITBP joined local villagers in festive celebrations despite the harsh terrain and freezing conditions. The event reflected the close bond between border forces and local communities living in strategically important frontier areas.

Adding to the cheerful atmosphere, local children presented a lively cultural programme that showcased the region’s traditions and enthusiasm, making the celebration even more memorable for the troops and residents alike.

The initiative highlighted ITBP’s continued efforts to foster strong civil–military ties while ensuring security and support for communities residing along India’s high-altitude borders.
