Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, visited Headquarters PUP & MP Sub Area, Prayagraj on 2 March 2026 to review operational and welfare initiatives.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed in detail on measures undertaken to ensure operational readiness, veteran outreach programmes, welfare initiatives and upcoming infrastructure development projects within the Sub Area.

Lt Gen Sengupta lauded the efforts of the formation and emphasised the importance of sustained commitment towards the adoption of new technologies in infrastructure creation, along with focused welfare measures for serving personnel, veterans and their families.

As part of his engagements, he inspected the newly established ICU Complex at Military Hospital Prayagraj and reviewed the state-of-the-art medical facilities aimed at strengthening critical care services. Appreciating the modern infrastructure and enhanced medical capabilities, the Army Commander reiterated the Indian Army’s unwavering resolve to provide quality healthcare to serving personnel, veterans and their dependents.
