Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh, General Officer Commanding of the IV Corps, inaugurated the Phase III building of the 155 Base Hospital on March 28, 2026, marking a major step in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The newly constructed facility is an ergonomically designed green building aimed at improving patient-centric care. It will house sub-acute wards, a patient kitchen, and advanced medical and logistics stores, significantly enhancing the hospital’s operational capacity.

The upgraded infrastructure is expected to benefit serving personnel, veterans, and their dependents by providing improved medical services and streamlined healthcare delivery.

The inauguration underscores the commitment of the Armed Forces Medical Services to building modern, responsive, and high-quality healthcare systems within the armed forces.
The development also reflects the Indian Army’s continued focus on welfare, ensuring robust medical support for troops deployed in operational areas and their families.
