Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, presided over a solemn and grand Investiture Ceremony at Headquarters Northern Command to honour acts of gallantry and excellence in service.
During the ceremony, Lt Gen Sharma conferred 52 individual awards for gallantry and distinguished service, along with 41 unit citations for outstanding operational performance by various Army units.
The event celebrated the courage, dedication, and professionalism of soldiers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment in the line of duty, often under challenging and high-risk conditions.
Paying tribute to the awardees, the Army Commander commended their selfless service and noted that their gallant actions and exceptional contributions will continue to inspire generations of soldiers.
