Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Shaking Hands

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, visited Srinagar and Nagrota to conduct a comprehensive review of the operational and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

During the visit, the Army Commander held detailed discussions with formation commanders to assess the evolving security dynamics in the region and evaluate ongoing operational measures.

Focus on Surveillance and Intelligence Integration

The review focused on strengthening multi-domain surveillance systems, improving real-time intelligence integration, and maintaining an unrelenting vigil against security threats.

The Army Commander reiterated that Northern Command remains fully committed to safeguarding the people of Jammu and Kashmir, while maintaining the highest levels of operational preparedness.

The visit underscores the Indian Army’s continuous efforts to monitor the security environment closely and ensure rapid response capability in the region.
