Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command, visited the Air Force Station Vadodara to review operational aspects and preparedness of the base.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the operational readiness and capabilities of the Indian Air Force station. He also interacted with officers, discussing contemporary military challenges and joint operational dynamics, highlighting the importance of inter-service coordination.

Visit to C-295 Aircraft Assembly Facility
Lt Gen Sharma also visited Tata Advanced Systems Limited, which houses the Final Assembly Line for the Airbus C-295 aircraft in India. The facility represents a major milestone in India’s push for indigenisation and defence manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The visit underscores the growing emphasis on jointness between the Army and Air Force, as well as the integration of indigenous defence production capabilities to strengthen operational readiness.
