Major General MPS Gill, General Officer Commanding of the Uttarakhand Sub Area, visited the 501 Field Survey Engineering Group (FSEG) to review its operational role and technological capabilities.
During the visit, the GOC was briefed on specialised geospatial tasks and advanced survey technologies that enhance battlefield transparency and situational awareness. These capabilities play a crucial role in supporting planning and execution of military operations.

Maj Gen Gill also reviewed ongoing mapping and printing initiatives, which are vital for accurate terrain analysis and operational planning.

He commended all ranks for their professionalism, technical excellence, and high-precision surveying, highlighting their contribution to operational readiness and strategic decision-making.
