Air Marshal S Shrinivas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Training Command, visited Air Force Station Sulur on May 13, 2026, to review operational preparedness and training infrastructure.
During the visit, the Air Marshal flew the indigenous HAL Tejas aircraft with the “Flying Daggers” squadron, demonstrating confidence in India’s indigenous combat aviation platform and reaffirming the Indian Air Force’s operational readiness.

Interacting with aircrew, Air Marshal Shrinivas emphasised important operational lessons and key takeaways from recent contemporary military operations, underlining the need for adaptability and mission preparedness in evolving combat environments.
The Air Marshal also visited the 24 TETTRA School, known as the “Tejas Pioneers,” which serves as the Centre of Excellence for providing technical expertise on the Tejas aircraft to both aircrew and technical personnel.

During the visit, he inaugurated the Training Model Room aimed at enhancing practical and technical learning for trainees through advanced instructional methods and hands-on familiarisation.
Air Marshal Shrinivas interacted with instructors and personnel of the training establishment, appreciating their professionalism and dedication towards maintaining high training standards. He stressed the importance of sharing practical operational experiences along with technical expertise to improve assimilation and effectiveness among trainees.

The visit reinforced the Indian Air Force’s focus on excellence in training, indigenous capability development, and sustained operational readiness.
