The Special List Officers Law Course concluded at the Institute of Military Law on May 5, 2026, marking the successful completion of a focused four-week legal training programme for Record Officers of the Indian Army.
The course was specifically designed to equip officers with the legal knowledge and practical understanding required to effectively discharge their duties in administrative and service-related matters. It aimed at strengthening the legal acumen of officers dealing with personnel records and military law.

Lieutenant General Rajeev Puri, AVSM, VSM, Director General (Manpower Planning & Personnel Services), presided over the closing ceremony and felicitated the officers for their performance.
Captain Dharam Raj Narware of BEG Records (Roorkee) secured first position in the order of merit and was awarded the prestigious GOC-in-C, ARTRAC Running Trophy for his outstanding performance.
The course underscores the Indian Army’s emphasis on enhancing legal proficiency among its officers, ensuring efficient personnel management and adherence to legal frameworks in a modern military environment.
