Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr Kambhampati Hari Babu, to discuss key issues concerning the welfare, rehabilitation and resettlement of ex-servicemen in the state.
The interaction focused on strengthening support mechanisms for veterans, Veer Naris and their dependants, while enhancing coordination among stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of welfare initiatives.

During the meeting, both sides deliberated on measures aimed at improving the delivery of benefits and support services to the Armed Forces community across Odisha.
Officials stated that the discussions reaffirmed the Indian Army’s enduring commitment towards the welfare and dignity of veterans and their families, recognising their invaluable contribution to national security and nation-building.

The interaction also highlighted the importance of civil-military synergy in addressing the needs of ex-servicemen and ensuring sustained care and support for those who have served the nation with honour.
