Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Surya Command, visited 510 Army Base Workshop and the Golden Key Division to review combat readiness, operational preparedness, and ongoing technology absorption initiatives.
At the 510 Army Base Workshop, the Army Commander was briefed on the establishment’s repair, overhaul, and maintenance capabilities for new-generation equipment and critical weapon systems supporting operational formations.

Lt Gen Sengupta appreciated the workshop’s efforts in building strong in-house technical expertise, reducing dependence on external agencies, and ensuring faster availability of operational equipment for field units.
During his visit to the Golden Key Division, the Army Commander reviewed operational preparedness with emphasis on the practical integration of modern technologies in training, operations, and capability development.

He commended the formation for its professionalism, dedication, and effective adoption of advanced systems aimed at enhancing mission readiness and operational effectiveness.

The visits highlighted the Indian Army’s continued focus on self-reliance, indigenous defence support, quicker equipment turnaround, and future-ready operational capability in line with the national initiatives of Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
