Surgeon Vice Admiral Vivek Hande, Director General (Organisation and Personnel) of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), visited Field Hospitals under Gurj Division and Black Arrow Brigade on May 14, 2026, to review operational preparedness and medical support capabilities.
During the visit, the Flag Officer was briefed on training modalities, operational readiness, equipment status, and the overall medical capabilities of the field hospitals operating in forward and operational environments.

Surg Vice Admiral Hande assessed the preparedness of medical teams to provide effective combat medical care and reviewed measures aimed at ensuring rapid and efficient healthcare support during operational contingencies.
